Hut
Low Hall Garth, Little Langdale, Ambleside, LA22 9NT.
The club have booked eight spaces in this hut which is owned by the Yorkshire Ramblers Club. The hut is situated in the lovely quiet valley of Little Langdale.
Directions to the Campsite
M6 north-west. Leave the M6 at junction 36. Take the A590 and then the A591 to Windermere and Ambleside. From Ambleside, take the Coniston road, ascending from Skelwith Bridge. At 0.4 mile south of the Elterwater & The Langdales junction, take a narrow lane on the right hand side which almost immediately forks. Take the right hand fork, where a National Trust sign points to High Park, Hallgarth. Follow this lane for 1.6 miles over two cattle grids, negotiating a very tight zig zag through farm buildings, continue along the lane to the left of the ford, passing through two gates to Low Hall Garth. Do not try to use the ford from Little Langdale with vehicles. Please close both gates approaching the cottage. The distance from Warwick is 195 miles. Map.
Climbing
There is plenty of climbing in the area, however, unless climate change gets a move on, the weather will no doubt be too cold to climb. But there is plenty of decent walking, scrambling and mountain biking to go at though.
